As of last night I have been writing a journal every day for a year (Well minus a few days where I was out really late or not sleeping at my house) I'm pretty stoked that I was able to keep up with it, since I tired to keep a journal every day when i was fifteen and I ended up only keeping it for 3 months. When I started my goal was simply to not write about the same thing everyday, even though my days may sometimes feel repetitive I always tried to write about something new. I was even able to pen down a few short stories I came up with. So my question is do any of my fellow boyagers keep a journal? And if not you should, it's really nice to have a place to express yourself unfiltered to your future self.

I actually plan to start a journal.  I haven't had time to pick up a nice notebook yet, though.

I do.

I'm not real regiment about it, but I've registered a few hundred entries in the few years I've been doing it now. Most of them are kind of half assed mundane musings, but I really try to put some thought into them.

It's a great way to exercise your brain and keep things in some kind of perspective, even if you decide that perspective should incorporate a surreal bent.

Actually, three quarters of the bullshit I spout here ad nauseum comes almost directly from or is inspired from the almost-not really-daily head leaks that I put on paper.

Fun fact.

if i had a journal each entry would be like 1 line long because my life is so boring

the world is a giant mirror that can only reflect your life. if one sees a sad clown, or an unhappy joker, even a grinning fool, it's because they're using too much make up and not enough paint. go color the canvas.

ok i'll write about these fruit snacks i'm eating

doesn't say much about you, given that i'm always right. don't get hung up on the nuances of our universal language, for you'll ignore the deeper meaning in the text.

I 'journal' most days but in random forms like adding something to my wall (in my house not Myface), writing here and there (sometimes in a plain journal) in different formats (not necessarily what I did, just inspired by it), spontaneous art

I have a journal, but I don't write in it.

Sandyman told me about your walls. Apparently he was somewhat traumatized by them.

YPrrrr

I did during a vacation to England... mostly about the world cup, but still it's pretty awesome to go back and read through it. I should probably have continued the practice but I'm lazy

Once in a blue moon I'll write something down on the closest piece of paper. So my "journal" consists of a folder with a bunch of random papers with stuff written on them. Most of it consists of ideas I have or stuff I'm thinking about. Sometimes dreams, but that's mostly just to set the scene of what and why I'm writing whatever it is that will follow.

For instance, I wrote a little bit of a dream I had, and then went to explain how it seemed like I never actually see a person's face in my dreams. Somehow I just know it's that person by their form or mannerisms or something.

??????

I used to, when I was younger.
For some reason looking at my past brings an uneasy, self-loathing feel and I swell with embarrassment. Ironically, the past Self is very important to me and I keep it near, but hidden.

As for recordings of my ideas and dreams, they're separate and often are given to my friend--he's somewhat a living "journal", since he remembers the weird shit I say and doesn't contribute to anything.  5thgrade;
