You let your monster fight by itself mostly. At certain times you can choose to use one of your three attacks, each of which can only be used once. You'll probably have to lose a bunch at first but it's still pretty dope.

You have to wait a while for it to record goddamn. Once you see your stat boosts it's recorded.
