I can't even be considered a weeaboo just some kid who likes anime occasionally.

I own one volume of Hetalia, a haruhi box with a single dvd in it, Elfen Lied and like the first half of Gantz. That is as far as my anime related collection goes  n_u

what's Hetalia like, anyway? is it like a slice of life with the countries portrayed as characters? i assume it's about more than just the Axis Powers too.

It is a historical comedy basically. The episodes are like 5 minutes each and involve the countries portrayed as characters (yes way more than just the axis powers.) doing various things. It is hard to explain simply cause I am bad at describing things.... but yea it is pretty funny and entertaining.
