RDX: That chromatic rising string line works sometimes (esp. when the bass comes in, felt sexy), and then it doesn't, like the dissonance was just sorta sitting there while everything else died out before the next loop; you were so right to add in a countermelody as you did later, but even then it felt way too tonally near to that first line (maybe making it a different instrument? changing the octave?). The bass throughout was great; bring out the percussion more!

Boognish: I didn't know how to read what you were doing, I was in all classical "where the hell is the motif" mode, but I really really really liked your solo melodies, and the way that you pushed at the progression with the unexpected note.

well it IS a beat, not a song, but i definitely get the dissonance part. it's ok though, i dont really think i'll ever go back to it.

These things are a lot of fun to play with. The perpetual looping and the repetitious nature of it makes it easy to just sort of start punching notes and saying "hey, that sounds alright". Then it sort of cumulates into something that it really isn't.

I guess it's just a relaxing way to "make" music, while really not.

I basically just turned on the camera with no real intent in mind, so ignore the several sour notes and the instances where I obviously didn't know what I was doing (the mic/line toggle switch, for whatever reason, was boggling my brain). It just kind of.....went.
