I don't recall any stories of arabs discovering the Americas, but the chinese muslim explorer Zheng He may have discovered the pacific coast of the Americas not too long before Columbus' first voyage. A lot of his records were later destroyed, unfortunately, so it's hard to verify this. Not that it really matters, since I doubt they made contact with indigenous people.

There's also a notable theory that Polynesians migrated to South America thousands of years ago, eventually becoming the native cultures of the continent.
