i think they wanted Viper because they wanted a representative of SF4/SSF4 specifically alongside the classic representatives of the SF franchise

if that's the case, i think Juri would've made more sense, but whatever

either way, with Ryu, Chun-Li, and Akuma, they didn't really need a fourth SF character

Without a story, unless you are actually gonna put in the time to learn the game and play with friends or online often, $60 is a lot. However factoring in you have 35 playable characters, any combination of 3 characters and 3 assist types (there are still assist types right?) You'll get alot of value out of it.

Otherwise, wait on that $40 price to crop up in a month or rent it from Gamefly or something to get your kicks and achievements/trophies for a couple weeks, and be done with it.

Mega Man was actually ruled out in an interview some time ago because Zero is a much more flexible character to work with.

Honestly, what has Mega Man ever been able to do that Zero can't? Nothing. As much as I love the little guy, there's no reason for him to be there when Zero's already holding the torch for that franchise.
