Yes, it seems to be a rather common stereotype that Japanese (or Korean in some cases) people are generally much better at video games and more intelligent than Americans.

She is far more popular in Japan than anywhere else so she is more common, but Hatsune Miku is not everywhere. ^_^

They aren't all close-minded the elder people have really hate toward gaijins but the young people and new generation people are far more open. For example, I have interest in different culture especially western culture but my grand parent hate American with all heart. So it is old people only which are close minded. I can see how you can make such conclusion however.

but he says that everyone is rude to him because he's american, so he decided to stop giving a shit about manners because it's funnier just to make japanese people uncomfortable with his natural tendencies
