My current lens prescription for both eyes is -4.00.
I first got glasses in 4th grade, then I got contacts in 7th grade, and it was like a whole new world. And my eyes have progressively gotten worse.

for comparison's sake

with corrective lenses

without corrective lenses
this photo could use a little more horizontal blur to accurately show what I see, but i got it close enough

I have perfect 20/20 vision

I can read small things from really far away and am basically just perfect when it comes to vision

My vision is bad enough one eye to warrant corrective lenses aside from the fact that I also have astigmatism. But overall I can see well enough to legally not need glasses/contacts to drive, so it must not be way too bad.

Myopia. Close is good, far is blurry. It's still manageable without glasses, but if I want to read on the chalk/whiteboard in class or watch TV satisfactorily, I'll need my glasses.

I'll probably need them to drive as well, at least to be able to read street names.

This.

I can kind of see street names during the day, but at night there's no way.

Even in the day, I cannot read street signs all that well without my contacts. myface;

I don't know the number but I know it is absolutely horrendous.

Pretty much all I see is a big blur of colors without my contacts.
