I want a high quality pair of headphones that deliver excellent sound , but also aren't too big or bulky.

What kind do I get?

Grado SR60

Best purchase you'll ever make, they last for years with the robust build and sound like $350+ cans for under $50. The depth (feeling you're listening to a room of sound rather than a little speaker) and deep lows (while retaining crisp perfect balance) that come out of them are incredible. I've had $250 Bose noise-canceling studio headphones and fancy ultra-engineered earbuds that sounded significantly worse.

Basically, in the mid-size headphone category, anything except Grados is a waste of money

Koss PortaPros ($15-25) are also extremely highly regarded for their portability/sound quality ratio

Quotethese are the type i like

they have about as good of quality as regular headphones and they're smalll. try them out, they're usually like $10 at walmart.

Eh, I'm aiming for more this type..

I'll check both of those out.

Snorkel, I have also been looking at the SkullCandy brand. Are those any good? I don't really like to trust random product reviews on the sites.

LCK

Lol okay, if you specifically want the ear-clip type, there's not a great selection of quality. For highly portably headphones I'd really recommend the PortaPro, you'll wonder why you've always had shitty headphones after hearing them. You can't go wrong with the price. (Nor can you go wrong with Grados, but they're better for home use)

No. Don't buy headphones from a company whose purpose is not sound engineering (SkullCandy is an apparel brand that imprints their logo on some undoubtedly shitty hardware. Would you buy headphones from UrbanOutfitters?)

I meant I am aiming for the the type you showed me. Sorry, my quoting was odd.

And alright, I heard they are kinda shitty quality

Also, I have a pair of Koss UR40's that I got a while back. I was not impressed by the sound quality.

Idk if I just don't like Koss in general or if it was just a lame model

I second (and third) this. I went through a bunch of money trying to find a decent pair, but nothing really stacked up to these. I absolutely love them and the price only makes them all the more worthwhile. Buy them.
