Recently, I've been doing a lot. I'll have like 4 great days in a row where I'm out with friends enjoying life, then one day where everybody seems to be busy and I'm stuck at home with nothing to do. I feel like I used to always have nothing to do, and I honestly don't know how I dealt with it. Even today, I woke up at noon, a friend of mine came over, we went and worked out, went back to my house for a bit, and then he left. Now it is 8pm and I feel like a loser for not doing anything important.

It seems like some of you just sit around and do nothing all day, and I'm not trying to put you guys down for it (or boost my own ego that is), but I'm just curious, how you guys go through your days doing (seemingly) nothing and don't hate yourselves for it?

YPrrrr

The other day I was going insane yes... most of my friends are away for the month so I've been stuck home more than usual, but I had fun this weekend so now I'm ok with doing nothing for a day or two

Oh, you just don't know what we do.  Q('_' Q)

Pure habit, sadly.  :( It just doesn't bother me that I haven't really done anything important anymore.

You know, I definitely used to be like that, and I kind of liked it. I would still enjoy it now if I hadn't exhausted everything to do on the internet. I need to find some video game to get into or something.

I've watched over 50 episodes of stargate sg-1 in the last week. akudood;

I've decided to try and pick up a new hobby. That should be a good way to eat up time. Something productive that I can be proud of, that is enjoyable too. Nothing involving music or video games. Something new.

The simple answer is that I'm happy with my existence of doing nothing. Of course, by "nothing", I mean listening to music and playing the vidya, but that's all it takes to satisfy me. I'm quite glad I don't need anything more.

Why I am this way, I don't know, but I don't really care to question it.

snorkel

I remember the summers of doing nothing, this summer I haven't had a single full day without work or something crazy happening

idk, its kind of always been this way. i had the world cup for a bit, but now that's done...really you just get used to it. before i'd handle being a loser by saying "whatever, its my parents fault they wont let me go anywhere" but now i just sort of figure "so what" i guess.

i consider my life to be a wip, so i usually dont chastise myself too hard for certain things i fail at.

but finding things to do is easy. my backyard is a mess, there are plenty of childhood dreams i can delve into and never get anywhere with, my room is bland as anything, and friends are available sometimes, so i dunno. it's not that bad.

Martin

I usually play guitar or start writing short stories and never finishing them because I find myself too depressed to continue writing. Well, that and I run out of ideas quickly.

??????

i get severely depressed once i recognize that i'm doing nothing that i want to do
