Who here has hacked their Ipod touch?

I need information, I'm getting an 8gig Ipod touch soon soley to hack it and emulate handheld games. All I really need to know is, what generation should I get? Do certain generations keep you from hacking, like how the latest Wii menu doesn't allow hacking. I haven't found much info on this, so I hope to hear from at least one person. Thanks in advance!

I did it long long ago, but if you're doing it solely for emulators I highly suggest looking into other mobile devices. The Iphone doesn't emulate anything particularly well, nor is it really invigorating with touch screen controls.

The on-screen D-Pads aren't super responsive.

On the upside the SNES Emu is probably the best one.

The latest firmware for the iPod touch is currently un-jailbreakable, but all 3 generations of the device itself are.

There goes any hope for jailbreaking mine.
