So, do you all think it is important that your same-sex roommate should know that you are gay before you start the semester? Or do you think that if they don't notice, they don't need to know?

He doesn't have any 'right' to know before you guys move into the dorm. And if he's gonna be a dick about it then it's his own problem.

I don't know because I feel like if I want us to be on good terms I should be a considerate person, ya know? I hate selfish people.

Just to make this clear I have nothing against homosexuals, but I wouldn't be able to live with one. I don't need to explain why because honestly don't know how. The only way I could room with something that was gay would be if I knew them very well, but a stranger, never.

Don't say unless they enquire about it or point out some hot chick, then make it seem like it's obvious if they're surprised by it.

I've got a few gay friends, and I don't mind staying at their houses when I'm in their towns etc, in fact I didn't know one of them was gay for a few years, some people might be offended for not saying right away though, but, unlikely so because if they're logical at all, it's none of their business. Unless you're flirting with them that is.

I'm sorry my last post was blunt. It's just my two roommates my first year of college sort of killed all my desire to be considerate to people I don't know personally yet.

They were both awful, awful people.
