I've recently been in a phase of listening to silly experimental and avant-garde shit like The Residents, Jandek, RIO/avant-prog (e.g. Univers Zéro) and krautrock

mostly i've found that with the exception of the residents and some of the more mainstream krautrock bands, no one else likes this shit

One of my favorite things for a week or less was listening to "third reich and roll" by those eyeball headed freaks.

You might like "the fall".  Look them up.
They apply to this conversation somehow even though it's a different genre of music.

My friends and close confidants have more or less the same taste in music that I do, but I cant make them like the Fall.
