I probably broke my phone today and I would like to finally buy a nice one, but I'm not trying to start a new plan and I'm pretty sure the prices that t-mobile lists w/o all the discounts is a bunch of bull shit.

so you want a "nice" unlocked phone? like an HTC or what?

well i'm not looking for a smart phone by any means, since i don't want to pay for a data plan right now, but something with a keyboard would be nice

and a half decent OS where you see your sent and received texts in the same list, like it's an IM, instead of having an inbox and outbox. Like the iPhone

go to wal mart. or just buy one from whatever company you're with now.

Amazon sells all phones with no contract. And with a contract too.

RIM Makes flip phones?

The Blackberry Pear Flip which was originally known as the KickStart, yes. And they're supposedly going to be making this monstrosity.  Though, the slider one doesn't look too bad
