How do some people seem to know everything about anything

jmv just knows about politics and stuff he reads on reddit
i mean just talk about general psychology and medicine(maybe philosophy but I never really talked about that with him) to him and he'll be like "durr wat"

Um, I know a lot about academic related things because I'm in a very intense academic program, I know a lot about music because that's my main hobby, I know a lot about human rights and politics because I have a personal stake in that, and I know a lot about video games because I was very secluded for a very long time.

It may seem big, but that's actually a pretty limited area. Just as in music: I can talk about any genre with a bit of knowledge and background, and I can talk about instruments on a very superficial level, but beyond that I have a pretty pathetic layer of depth.

The closest I've ever gotten into the Glitch area of things has been the work Venetian Snares has done. It's symphonic in scope at some points, and crazy in other points, but I don't know if Glitch really fits him. IDM, really. He's given me pathways into a lot of artists Like Stunt Rock or Jere, but not any deeper into the real Glitch stuff.

Yes.  It's amazing at how much differently people react to people with confidence, like there's a girl in one of the other groups who just oozes confidence when she speaks, I wish I could be like that.
