I've been really wanting the Palm Pre, but Android looks good too.
So here's my options:

Pre: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en/Action/DisplayPhones?phoneSKU=PALM100HK

Hero: http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASApp/onlinestore/en/Action/DisplayPhones?phoneSKU=APA6277KT

Argument is invalid because I like how the screen feels and I think it's a good screen overall

It is sexy I guess
My only concern with it is they say it's kind of sluggish  baddood;

Still can't decide, although I'm leaning more towards Pre/Hero

why
1. They're ugly
2. Moving components add an opportunity for another part to fail.

The less moving parts there are, the less possible breakage.

1. I disagree
2. Valid Point
3. They make the phone fatter  baddood;

My friend Daniel had the exact same problem a few weeks ago.
He got an HTC Hero and loves it like a baby.

I'm sure I would love either one either way.  baddood;
Well for some stupid reason my sister's getting the Hero in a couple days and my dad has the Pre so maybe I could play around with both before I decide

Daddy

oh the pre would also have that sliding problem akudood;

Hiro

if you're talking about the oreo thing, That's a very rare problem, and i could easily get a replacement.

lol
I haven't made up my mind yet
On the Pre I like the multitasking, good multitouch, 8GB of memory, and speed is supposedly good
On the Hero I like Android and like you said, less moving parts

ME##

Personally, the GSM Hero is the prettiest out of the Hero family.  n_u

Though, the Sony Ericsson X10 looks amazing [as long as they get it so it moves like it did in concept].
