I've trimmed mine down a couple times, like a fancy hedge, but never shaved down to the skin. that seems like it would be supremely uncomfortable. does make your shit look bigger though

No point in doing it if you're not going to keep doing it, because your skin has to get used to it. It's going to itch the first time, it's going to itch a little less the second time, etc.

And do not shave against the grain the first time, or the first couple times, holy shit.
