And no im currently on the ubuntu, i have to wipe this computer again. The current computer im using, is an old desktop that is ubuntu/kubuntu, my laptop is ubuntu/kubuntu/vista. But when i use kubuntu on this computer its a bit crashy. Ubuntu works pretty good. But by the end of the month karmic koala comes out, and im going to make the upgrade on a clean install, and if it doesn't run as smoothly as id like im just going to wipe again, and put macpup opera. That little OS is quick as hell. Even on this dinosaur.

The useragent string must be pre-determined to read "linux" with non-windows systems. Strange.

I've no experience with macpup, but it sounds like you know what you're doing.  O_0

Do you have your 3 OSes on three different HDDs?

No, I have a 120 gb hard drive on my laptop and its partitioned 60 Vista, 60 Ubuntu, and i cheated i guess. I installed all the packages for kubuntu, and when i start my comptuer into the ubuntu partition it has a button that says session and i can choose gnome/kde. The first time around i had it partitioned with all three, and found it easier to just install the seperate packages. That way both work, and i have programs for both individuals. so yeah. I cheated.
Macpup is very basic, its based off of puppy linux. Very small OS. <100MB.

If it can handle only browsing, it'd be perfect for my 7-year old Strumpet laptop. I'll give it a look. Thanks, dear.  :3

Yes macpup will run fine on it.
Just looked up the specs.
And i don't have mine named...
The only thing id have to let you know. Macpup is meant to be ran off of a live cd, or usb, and then have your progress saved to a usb, or drive. It could be made the main OS off the Hd, but i run it on a desktop so it recognizes the hardware....i wouldn't know if it would recognize your wireless card.
It was a mess when i made the switch from vista to ubuntu on my laptop. My wireless card didnt work, my sound didn't work, burner didn't burn, webcam didn't work, it would play dvd's choppy, but within a week i had everything running pretty fine thanks to google...

I don't even want to talk about the year of trouble I've had with ndiswrapper trying to get wireless to work on Ubuntu. I'd prefer hardware recognition, so a desktop installation would be preferred. As long as it can do that, I'm all set.

Really i got ndis wrapper working with it within a week.
The only thing was i thought my wireless was messed up, but it turned out to be the router.
I had just gotten a new router, and i couldn't connect with my zune, my friends itouch, my wii, my phone, or any of the linux/mac laptops. So i sold it on ebay and got one that was like 20 bucks at best buy because it was open item, and it works AWESOME. Best router ive ever had.

WTF i put awe.some in caps and...is that george lopez or...who is that?
