What languages do you speak/what languages are you learning if you can't quite speak it well?
Why did you choose to learn it?
And if you could choose any language that has existed to learn what would it be?

For me I took three years of German in high school cause for the longest time I thought it sounded cool and wanted to learn it as a second language. Then I got into it and really didn't like it so I kinda sucked at it for lack of care/studying. Then I switched languages to Japanese this year basically on a whim cause I didn't really speak German good enough to do anything beyond 101 and I wanted something new.

As for any language to learn I would say something like ancient Greek or Egyptian just because they seem like something cool to learn. Modern Greek might be kinda cool to learn too though just cause it sounds kinda cool.

Je parle français. Ich spreche Deutsch. Io capisco un po 'italiano

My spelling in the latter is completely off so I have to look up spellings usually. My best friend is Guatemalan so I can understand some spanish from being at his house so much. I understood when it was time to eat and we talked about food. giggle;

I know a little Spanish. Italian would be fun to learn.

I'm in my 5th year of French, and I've been to France twice. I really love the language...I just don't tend to be good at it. Still, I'm a tiny tiny bit fluent, which is getting better. I also took 3 years of Latin, and I can still remember most forms and figure out sentences (that'll go soon, I hope).

Ancient Greek....I have a few friends taking it. It's hard and labor-intensive and archaic. Some concepts of it are really cool, like having another voice besides active and passive, but it builds quite a few concepts from the ground-up, and you don't have the convenience of knowing a language which is very similar (like Latin, or any romance language, or German even).

Well, currently I'm in my fourth year of French.  I really need to stop making the silly mistakes I make, though from looking around at the others' [even those in French IV] the number of errors I make are insignificant.  Most of them come up though when I begin to second guess myself, which is how I typically make errors in every class [Especially in government when my teacher starts asking me if I'm sure and I begin to question my original response  akudood;].  Also, I guess having a 99.46% in French isn't bad either.  n_u

Oh to answer your question I've tried to teach myself Italian on multiple occasions but get ADD and lose focus and forget about it for a while.

I also took french from 6th-10th grade but I had a horrible teacher and  knew I wouldn't pass French IV so I switched to German. I should have tried. I liked it and was pretty good at it. Right now I have trouble remembering which accents go where and different conjugations.

I know English and Spanish pretty well. I'm ok with Arabic (Can read fluently and could hold a short small talkish conversation with someone, but nothing more than that) and I know some French and Italian and Urdu words D:
