I'm not sure what you mean. befuddlement

Meaning when they're saying something with those words in them, they automatically switch to the general American pronunciation. Like im-ˈpä-sÉ,,-bÉ,,l as opposed to É›Ì'pÉ”sibl or  fräⁿs instead of fÊ,É‘Ì's.  n_u

I can't read IPA and I've never really seen non-fluent kids trying to speak French, but okay. n_u

baddood;

Also, on the subject of French, it always amazes me that most of the kids don't make at least a small effort to mimic the French pronunciation of words like 'impossible', 'centre' or 'France'.  n_u

The biggest problem in my french class isn't lack of ability, but lack of effort. So many kids use fake cognates or don't bother with the accent, and it irritates me.

A friend of mine actually traveled France thinking that "J'aime fumer les cigarettes d'"American Spirit" parce qu'ils n'ont pas de preservatifs." meant what he thought it did.
you do turn the "des" into "de" in that situation, right?  :(
