Power went off in the entire uptown area of my town today. It started at like 8:15-ish am while I was in Spanish. We had to stay there until the lights came back on at 9:40 am.

It sucks because today was a short day, we stayed in spanish an hour longer than normal, and Spanish is my least favorite class.

The only times I've lost power were when ice or lightning took out a telephone pole. One time they contemplated closing the school, but they got the power back up in half an hour

The power went out when I was in 2nd grade. Everyone kept asking to use the restroom just to walk through the darkness. It was awesome.

I was without power for about a week and a half after a hurricane hit us pretty much directly. It also meant a week without water  >.<

In fifth grade we had a power outage, and five minutes before they were going to let us leave school the lights came back on...
