I like Europe's system of using quotation marks and punctuation better than ours too. It makes more sense to be on the outside.

It's a common misconception that American standard English always requires punctuation inside quotation marks. It actually does depend on whether the quotation ends a statement or not. But it is still different from European standards.

Oh, that doesn't bother me at all either way

I blame Webster for bastardising the American variation of the English language.  akudood;

Language evolves over time. All American English is is a furthering of that evolution. Get used to being behind the times, Canada/UK.

I wanna punch a baby whenever I see "Billy Joe" as well
Sorry but that's just plain stupid
It's a common name, and seeing as it's usually spelled with a Y, you shouldn't get that annoyed for a such a common mistake.

I do to. Nerds/geeks don't say epic. People who think they know what an Internet is do.

Actually, the only thing that really pisses me off is when people mispronounce meme. I heard mee-mee one and almost hit the guy.

I used to think that this was how it was pronounced lol

Hiro

Yeah I've heard me me as well akudood;  lately I've heard a lot of people say "epic fail" and "pwn" goonish

YPrrrr

Oh yes, when people say lol out loud... drives me crazy

Andria

Internet memes/acronyms spoken out loud makes me want to punch stuff  baddood; cept maybe the minimal usage of lol

Hiro

Whenever i ask someone a question, the only response I get is "don't worry about it".  I equate that to saying "shut the hell up"

That is usually what it is used to mean

Samus Aran

Yes, I hate hearing memes spoken in real life too. Not only are most of the memes stupid anyway, but using an online meme in real life kind of goes against the whole point of an online meme. When it's not an in-joke anymore, it has lost its substance.

Is it bad that my ringtone is Keyboard Cat?
