Why are AP courses so cliquish?

I don't have any friends anymore. I'm apparently not part of the inner AP snob circle at my school.

There wasn't really much of an AP clique at my school... most of the cliques formed in the standard classes

Basically everyone in my school took ap classes except the really not smart and barely graduate high school types (even though quite a few took ap as well) so there wasn't really a clique of just ap kids. We all mixed and had super awesome groups of people

that's really unfair to the kids in schools that actually have to work/be smart to be in an ap class
