um well around my main spit valve on my trumpet it's really discolored and bad looking lol i think the lacquer wore off or something it doesn't feel weak or anything but it's sort of a concern lol

I played Alto Sax for like a year. Trumpets looked boring.

I'm in the band with a lot of trumpet players. I might be able to ask one of them.

What's your concern? Worn-off lacquer won't do anything if it's in one spot. If you take for instance a saxophone and strip the lacquer off (if it's lacquered) it will sound SLIGHTLY different but most people wouldn't even notice it, and brass instruments' tones are far less dependent on instrument structure anyway
