My other favorite forum is being upgraded from the shittiest forum. I don't remember the name of the platform but it was one of those ones with horizontal mini-profiles that take up too much space.

Hmm...was it vBulletin? Though not necessary in a vBulletin forum, I've seen lots of them that use the top-of-post horizontal profile format. Usually to allow for a mod that takes up space, like big experience bars and stuff. It can look pretty snazzy if done right.

phpBB sucks so much, but I've never seen a phpBB forum use horizontal mini-profiles like Reefer is talking about

i've seen them put the profiles on the right of the post though which i think is hideous
