Johnny B. Goode - Chuck Berry

Great song. Chuck is the man. My favorites by him are Maybellene, School Days, Carol, and Roll Over Beethoven.

This is Bo playing both "Hey, Bo Diddley" and "Bo Diddley." The latter song, as well as the two first videos I posted, are my favorite songs from the 50s.

After I realized that most "Classic" rock was pretty shitty (the cheesy 70's/80's shit) and my music tastes turned more contemporary, I started listening to the REAL classics (Fats Domino, Everly Brothers, Chuck Berry) and how realized how damn awesome that era was for music.

The definition of classic rock is pretty vague. Almost every popular rock song in the 80s sucked, and a lot of 70s rock hits were awful as well. Mainstream rock was awesome in the 50s/60s and some of the 70s, but since then it's been pretty weak.

The Bobby Fuller Four's version of "I Fought the Law" is pretty great.

You're not a real band until you play I Fought the Law or Louie Louie. I've found that most versions of those two songs are pretty good. Speaking of which, the Kingsmen's Louie Louie is awesome.

Any Buddy Holly. I could listen to that bastard all day.
Carl Perkins had some great songs in his prime.
The Coasters
Roy Orbison was a beast.

Look up Screamin' Jay Hawkins. He was probably the first shock rocker. He'd put on elaborate shows where he'd jump out of coffins and do voodo stuff all the time. Plus, the guy has a ridiculous voice.
