Tyler has imparted upon me the fact that his medical practitioners believe he may have a "trace of melanoma".

This is the result of the skin blemish commonly referred to as "moles" and excessive exposure to the ultra violet radiation emitted by our local star, colloquially referred to as "the sun".  As a precaution he will be undergoing surgery to remove the cancerous cells from his body.

Unless it spreads to his lymph nodes or somewhere, then they'll have to remove them also. (Lymph nodes filter naughty Ryan Flanagan cells. )
