I'm actually here llmao man I'm really stoked
Damn lol I'm so fucking down for this

Recently I've slightly turned around my life, got a good relationship with my job even if I hate the work (my dept. would be in shambles w/out me), did some prime ass art recently, and been saving great.  I'm happy, and finishing the mspaint man makes me feel like I just got done with finals and just celebrating now.

In all honesty, despite enjoying things alone for the most part, kinda wish I knew someone that knew ttng and loved em so I could talk to someone here abt my hype LMAO.

ok so uh where do i BEGIN

so the local bands were ok and mostly chill for what it was, floatie was ok, then actually was getting sleepier the more monobody i heard.  good bands but lol ok i needed to wake up now pls LMAO.  been there since 8 and they started at like 9:45pm.  not a bad wait though.

but after ttng came on the stage, i uncharacteristically WOOO'D and usually i headbang in my room bc i get ashamed of expressing myself LMAO, but i did it all here and was so fucking stoked. but yeah some guy touched my hair and said it felt so smooth damn hell yeah gotta get on that tea tree oil conditioner grind.  man there were def girls that had their unenthusiastic bfs there.  mfw im checking out their bfs, but lmao on the side im so hype i make small convo with one of their gfs and she also knows the lyrics to these songs too damn lol im singing along with everyone as well holy HELL what an experience.  ppl in the middle of the room were prob in the mood as much as me, that's where the real action was.  and then my hydroflask apparently hit someone in the balls LMAO RIP.  in the end got 3 full length vids of some of my favorites.  phone at 6%

it was probably the best experience ive ever had at a concert
man i dont know if ill ever feel like this way again
crowd was great but still a buncha stiffs around, lmao y r they near front if theyre gonna be stumps?????
and also i knew the lyrics (ok truthfully 60% overall) to their songs, and love them to death
aside from dfa, i dont know who else id be like this with.
this may be the first and last concert ill ever feel like this again
they also mentioned this will be their last time touring around like this?  tfw

post-concert, well, so it's like 11:20pm this time around
i actually have an hour to catch the LAST train back to the subs at 12:40
but i really wanted to make this night worth even more
so i go on an i-spy mission to get everyone who performed onstage to autograph my ticket, even the 5th guy who did the trumpet for elk and another song

i find chris and henry at their merch table, i get chris' but i felt bad asking him if i could get henry's since i was in a huge ass rush but he said he had to get the line going, so i go to henry's line, and he signs and chris also gives his farewells :3

then i find stuart at the stage, he signs it, thanks me for oming, and im giddy.  But, mentioned still gotta get tim.  he checks backstage for me, but he's gone.  so he tells me to look around and that he could still be around.  it's 11:40, but ehh im not too concerned.  i found the trumpet guy, garret (lmao called him darren/derrick in the stage bc i cant hear for shiet) who ttng was hyping up and actually played, so i get his.  he actually looked at my ticket and was astonished how i pretty much have everyone...but tim.  but actually, he was right beside him.  so he tells me i could tap on his shoulder since he's chill, and i do.  and then i get his

im putting this fuckin ticket and the pen they all used, in a frame or smth
man, all 5 who performed.  hell yeah

near the end of it, from the blue line to now just walking downtown slightly blind, i nearly got lost untl i realized i fked up with directions.  didn't rely on phone since i was at 2%.  so i just dug in memory for it.  but i get there at like 12:25am so had some time to spare and lol came home at like 1:50AM.
THE END

11/10 CONCERT
Everything that day went so smooth in the end.

awesome that they hung around to talk with the crowd/sign stuff. always great when artists do that.

YPrrrr

I just saw Lionel Richie lol

He was pretty good, still got a lot of energy in them ol bones

The Hand That Fisted Everyone

I saw Bill Callahan a few weeks ago and it was the shittiest crowd I've ever been a part of. There was an opener who had a lovely voice but she was really quiet and the crowd wasn't accomodating. To make matters worse, all the people who skipped the opener (fuck you people) came in at her last few songs so it just kept getting louder and louder. Turns out the lady was Bill's old friend and I think that pissed him off. Most of his set ended up being some free flowing improvisation/jamming. Drover is a great song but no one has asked for a 12 minute version of it. Or a fifteen minute version of The Beast.

One woman kept yelling at Bill in between songs. Which was annoying but lead to some funny banter

"I'VE WAITED TEN YEARS TO SEE YOU!"
"...lady I tour every couple years. Were the records not good enough?"
"I HAD KIDS"
"Yeah, me too"

another one:
"I LOVE YOU BILL"
"I love you too...if your name is Hanly"
"IT'S MICHELLE!"
"Turns out I don't love you"

but then that lady yelled out "PLAY A HIT" and kinda soured the mood.

When I was in Asheville I saw this band called TOPS and they were pretty good. Kinda throwback 80's pop band from Montreal.
