Even if it worked for me, it's still a lot less likely to work and a lot more likely to end up in some serious disappointment or continued social ineptitude...I suppose you could also say that the risks for getting yourself raped/murdered/maimed are also higher.

However, I can also testify that if you fall in love with someone, it doesn't really matter how it happens...the point is that it does happen, even online. I fell in love with Hensa's personality online, and it turned out to be her personality offline as well, so I lucked out. And I did know what she looked like before I "sealed the deal," so to speak. Yes, it was highly risky. But I didn't care.

Internet dating is okay...and it does work. But you're more likely to succeed with typical dating.
