Springtime critters!

It recently became really warm here and the classic springtime critters have returned. I noticed an ant in the kitchen sink and I nearly cried as a fly landed on the outside of my window. The return of insects almost makes me miss those cold days in November.

Anyone else hate bugs or have some bad memories of them?

As a kid I loved to carry the dead bees to the ant colony and pretend I was their hero for bringing them food. n____n

But I fucking hate cockroaches and horse flies; they're so ugly.

The only insects that really bother me are mosquitoes and spiders, although technically spiders aren't insects. Anything else I see crawling or flying around I'll let be, as long as it's nowhere near my food.

I hate ticks... the idea of them gorging themselves on my blood is disturbing... and the prospect of lyme disease isn't fun either.

I used to always find huge ant colonies and put live bugs in them and watch them get carried down into the hole.

Then I would always feel a terrible pain of guilt and sorrow afterward. But I would still do it again later on.
