My only way to know is by looking up the Proprieties of my Music folder. A bit over 2000 files, apparently, but it's not all music and there mght be a couple of doubles in there, so I voted 1000-2000.

All things considered, just barely over 10,000. But keep in mind that's counting CDs I haven't ripped, CDs I never will rip because they suck, and random stuff that doesn't go into my iTunes because I don't want to accidentally scrobble it to last.fm, like video game remixes and stuff.

In iTunes alone I probably only have about 8,500 or so.

I have 3,580 in my Music folder, then there's probably about 1,000 more in other places I don't feel like specifying. And of course other Cd's I haven't ripped, yadayada.

I accidentally wiped all my music about 6 months ago. Well, it wasn't completely accidental, but I was too lazy to go save it all before reformatting my harddrive. So now I have just over 2,000. I haven't ripped any of my CD's (not that I have many) since then either out of sheer laziness, and most of that music is stuff nobody else would have so I can't find it online.
