Also, I'm going to say that they are, but I recall my sister who's in college saying that you have to take the classes in college anyways just because. So, the AP classes for the most part count for nothing.

But I don't remember if she actually said that or not. I just vaguely remember her saying that APs are a waste of time.
They only count for nothing if you go to a prick college.

I knew someone would say that doodthing;

She's passed all of her AP tests (Except for 1, I think), so it wasn't that. I think it was just because of what college she went to (UCLA).

Yes, there are colleges that don't give a shit about what AP class you took in high school because really, high school is high school.

Yeah. The majority of colleges take them.. but some, espevially some prestigious colleges, won't. I have a friend who had 4 AP credits that didn't count at MIT.
1.8mb is too huge for a sig nigga

Not if you are someone like me. Who simply takes it because i feel it will help my college acceptance.

But really, if you are not AP material, just don't do it. It is a huge waste of effort for something that I probably would have accomplished without the AP classes (college acceptance). and I didn't even pass any of the AP exams, so I don't even get credit.

Colossal waste of effort.

Yes, but better schools are less likely to accept you without APs

An 80 in an AP class is weighted like a 90 in a normal class, but colleges equate it to a 100 because of the significance of challenging yourself with an advanced course. I take AP World History and will later take AP US History, AP Gov't, and AP Biology.

At some colleges, taking an AP class can exempt you from the time and price of a college course. Even if it doesn't, it's great for getting into a college. I enjoy my AP World History class because the lessons are more in depth and the class discusses and takes interest in history, instead of bitching and whining because they have to know what the capital of Bulgaria is.

It could be because my teacher is awesome. Students in the other AP World teacher's class dislike it.

I'd take an 84 in an AP over a 95 in a standard any day
