A whole lot of abused humans actually couldn't defend themselves, but okay. How do you defend yourself from being waterlogged? How do you defend yourself from being locked up in a cellar for 30 years?

Right, those Gazan civilians could've just thrown those mortar shells back at the enemy. And those stupid detainees could've just broke those chains and killed those soldiers.
