Zidone doesn't know what it means, so I'll ask you guys. It involves my native dialect/accent, and I just want to see if anyone can really understand it. YPR might.

If someone says to you, "Redd up your book collection," what do they mean?

everyone respond, no matter what you think it means, or even if you think it means nothing. after about a dozen or so responses, i'll tell you.

And because Zidone asked, yes, "redd" is the intentional spelling.

The only one to come close was JMV.

Where I come from in Pennsylvania, if someone tells you to "redd it up", they're telling you to clean it up or organize it.

So if someone tells you to "redd up your book collection," it's probably because they're a mess and strewn about everywhere. If you just woke up and your hair is messed up and your clothes are dirty, you'd "redd yourself up" by taking a shower, combing your hair, etc.

Veal

I think everyone already looked it up and then just posted joke answers to be honest.
