At the end of the last school year, we had a fire drill just about every day (sometimes more than once daily) because there were some idiotic seniors who thought it was funny.
I hated that.

Also, we had one the other day, and it was really cold outside.

i think they check the cameras ect if it wasnt planned to see who did it.
and apparently there is shit in the fire puller alarm things that squirt on your hands so they know who did it if it was a joke.
but idk if thats true.

Like once a week, the alarms go off and the school office people wait like 3 minutes after that to announce "We're doing maintenence work on the fire alarm system, so please disregard the fire alarm." Teachers and students have gotten used to it, so nobody reacts to them.
Kinda counter-productive to constantly be working on the fire alarm system in a way that is likely to trigger it falsely.

Oh yeah, we had a real fire drill once. About 5 minutes after the alarm went off they had to announce "Students and teachers, the fire alarm this time is real. Please evacuate the building". We only waited outside for a couple minutes, probably not even 5.

My school has them but we go outside, the teachers take roll and we come back in. Takes like two minutes. Although one time we had a bomb threat during winter and everyone left their coats inside and we had to sit outside on cold metal bleachers for like two hours.
