both soda and pop sound weird to me because everyone here says pop but I grew up hearing soda from my mom

Soda. My gram used to call it "soder".

Nobody around here calls it pop.

the real questions are with subs and sprinkles.

Some people call them like.. heroes, and hoagies, but they're subs.

And sprinkles are sprinkles, not "shots" or "jimmies".
