It's like how it's better to use NeoOffice instead of OpenOffice on a Mac.
uh, not really
used to be true i guess but openoffice went native for the mac with the last release and besides neoffice is buggier and i don't think it has math stuff akudood;

most of those apps suck too

The Unarchiver is much better than Stuffit, Shiira is completely dead now and worthless, you know exactly what i think about firefox, and there's some other stuff i don't feel like commenting on

Also, iChat is a default app, maggot.

The Unarchiver suddenly stopped working for me and I don't know why. :'(

Why use NeoOffice OR OpenOffice when you can easily crack iWork and use Pages? It's by far the best word processor out there.  baddood;

Also I don't think Newsfire has been mentioned, it's my personal favorite for RSS management.

russell

By the way, definitely check out TUAW and get an RSS aggregator (like NewsFire) and sign up for their RSS feed... they publish a lot of good Mac stuff, including an overabundance of stuff for Mac beginners this time of year.

i am truley sorry for your lots

The only problem I have with it is it seems to hate passworded rars, but sometimes unrarx will handle them.

if not, i'm stuck with stuffit :'(

I was saying I've been using Stuffit with Tiger and Leopard since I got a Mac years ago, and incidentally I've never had a problem with Stuffic in a classic OS environment either
