I've never met anyone who's been busted for possession.

Believe it or not, a tiny bag isn't too hard to hide.

I know lots of people who've been fined and/or jailed for DUI's and underage drinking.

I'd be as interested as the next guy to see it legalized and it might end up solving a few problems here or there, but I'm not going to fight or dedicate resources to see it happen when i can talk to joe doe down the street and get some good stuff for very little money.

Of course sending individuals to prison for possession is absolutely ridiculous, but do you honestly truly believe American legislature and the general public is anywhere near ready to think about legalizing?

Short term solution would be to eliminate prison time for those convicted and just resort to fines.
