I usually hold my breath.

My mom said that my dad has to make himself puke when he gets hiccups, it's the only way that he can get rid of them. I've never seen or heard him with hiccups though, thankfully.

Find a tall doorframe. Put your hands on the top ledge. Lean all the way forward until you're stressing your arms and hold it for awhile. Hold your breath for good measure.

I hate when I'm sick and get the hiccups.

I cough and leave out a massive UPCH, and it hurts :'(
