I got into a college. Probably since around the beginning of junior year I have been worrying so much about getting accepted to college. Every day I would hope I get accepted. It was even worse this year.

Well just yesterday I got the letter in the mail saying i have been accepted. It is my fallback school, but still, I was simply praying I got into ANY college.


And now, somehow, I feel probably 10 times worse. I am now just extremely depressed that I will be leaving high school and all my friends. I am also depressed about the girl I like, and how it will probably go nowhere, then I will never see her again.

It is like a good quote from the book For One More Day, " All that happens when your dream comes true is a slow, melting realization that it wasn't what you thought.


God why does life just get shittier and shittier as you get older?

Honestly though, I love writing, and I love trying to help people. So I think being an English teacher is basically the ideal job for me.

I know, the work in college is gonna suck shit, but oh well...

You can make the most of it. Living on your own is quite refreshing, I've found. And college is a great atmosphere for meeting new people and working on what you really want to do with your life.

So don't get too down about it.

Not so much. My uncle is an english major and he got one hell of a deal. He was offered a job as a grader, and since he works with the school tution is free. On top of that they pay him $1000 a month for it.

I know!  I don't understand how people are thinking about college like they're going to enjoy it sooooooooo much, but I'm dreading June 2010.  I looked at a calender of 2009 and then I started to get a little depressed :(  Typing this out now is making me tear a little :(
