Okay, I'll take that challenge. Nirvana isn't classic rock.
But they did help rock survive the 90s.  v;
You say that as if rock had trouble surviving the 90's.
I am saying that as if rock had trouble surviving the 90s. ;)
So, tell me about how rock had trouble surviving the 90's.

I fail to understand this as well. I can name about 10 good bands from the 90s off of the top of my head.

Oasis? Huge. Smashing Pumpkins? Huge. Rock was alive and well in the 90's.

Oasis, overrated. Smashing Pumpkins, not that good.

Blur, Radiohead, Supergrass, Kula Shaker, The Verve, Pulp...

Not to mention bands that formed in the 80s, but were their biggest in the 90s such as The Manic Street Preachers and Primal Scream. That's not even counting American bands.

1.  Do tell why they are overrated.
2. GTFO

Speaking of that list, Radiohead is the only great band to me there.

Oasis is overrated because they aren't that special, there music doesn't have much of a meaning, at least to me anyway. I just don't see what the big deal is.

What have you heard by them? I've already come to the conclusion that you have no soul, but I'm curious.

Houdini

I'm not much of an Oasis fan myself, but the point is that they were really popular.

You get a few points for liking Radiohead, but I'm going to go on a limb and guess that you mainly like The Bends and OK Computer and don't like their more recent stuff like Amnesiac and Hail to the Thief.

I've heard Wonder Wall, Rock 'n Roll Star, Half the World Away, etc. Do I have to list every one i've heard?

Fair enough, at least you have a chance.

However, that is besides the point. I still fail to see how rock had "trouble surviving" in the 90s. Just because you don't like the bands doesn't mean it had trouble surviving at all.

Oasis isn't rock, it's pop. There, I said it. True classic rock doesn't sound that way.

So you're saying The Beatles aren't classic rock?
