Yeah, you're supposed to just decorate with lights, not outline your whole house and try to blind everyone with shitloads of lights.

I saw one house recently that was decorated extremely well. The coolest part was a giant snowglobe in their yard. It was perfect.

I don't think any of my neighbours have put up their lights yet, but one of my neighbours has this ugly blow-up thing of Santa in a snow globe.

the worst part isn't that they outlined the whole front of the house, it's that it looks as if they attempted to do that, but like ran out of lights or something, so it's just like a random line of shit slapped onto the house.

But yeah most lights look ugly and tacky, but I have seen some that have been done well.
