However, backstage crews bust their asses to make sure your dream comes true. Don't you fucking dare criticize them like that to their face. And don't talk like that to me. I give congratulations to the cast where congratulations are deserved, like I gave you. I'm sure some of your crew congratulated you too. and you have the nerve to complain about them? I'm not downplaying the importance or talent of the cast, but backstage crews are far from worthless. Stop treating them like that.

I have absolutely no problem acting around a desk in the wrong place, I don't expect much from techies, I'm an actor, that's what I do.
I can't even begin to tell you how many times I've had to cover up random doorbells or ringing phones, early fades, and late doorbells. I know what to do, I know how to improvise. But things like that shouldn't happen in the first place. You have a script in front of you, it's not like you have to memorize anything, all you have to do is push a button.

I was a "Techie" for the school band once because I didn't feel comfortable singing yet.  They made me feel like shit because you know all I did was power point, organize songs, do paperwork, make sure everyone had their papers for their songs, write the chord downs, and plug in the amps and microphones, and test them like almost every week.  God forbid if I made a typo or didn't show up because I had a doctors appointment or something.

So my point is that "techies" are of the same importance as the performers because without either one there cannot be a show.
