also I saw Synecdoche, New York recently and thought that was really good too

Synendhoendnche is stellar. I watched The Holy Mountain via a Silvertone Stream but idr most of it.

they recently released a blu ray (or at least one that wasn't like $80) for the holy mountain so I got that off amazon
you should revisit it if you're willing, i've been having a blast showing it to friends. i bought El Topo just the other day because I want to see this dude's other shit now

Silvertone and I watched inherent vice. I enjoyed it but it's not  really the paul thomas anderson movie to start off with.

i loved the master but it went on kind of long. i hear there will be blood is the one to watch but i havent seen it so i can't rec it.

it is pretty faithful to the source material, as in that it was as mediocre as the book.
