the best movie i've watched recently was the 70s version of invasion of the body snatchers

definitely one of my favorite movies ever now

i've also watched dirty harry, dog day afternoon, and loads of other 70s and 80s movies that i can't remember

oh i watched It's a Wonderful Life the other night. i wouldn't consider it one of James Stewart's better roles but all in all it was a good movie. it may be one of the more overrated classic movies i've seen though. the pacing kind of irked me, how there's so much "normal movie" before it suddenly turns allegorical for the last 25 minutes.
