i dont get why you wouldn't listen to the Radio Broadcast because that was better than the 50s film. (I M O)

Anyway, I just watched "Bullitt," a film probably better known for its car chase scene than anything else. It stars Steve McQueen in a role pretty typical for him, the anti-hero cop (Bullitt), as he pieces together a case involving a dead witness that was supposed to be used in court to expose a crime syndicate.

It was very well made, especially as far as sound and editing go (I think it even won an Academy Award for editing), but I almost feel like its pacing was a bit of a problem for me, and I feel like the issue of Bullitt's girlfriend was unresolved and sorta tacked on. But it does add to the depth of his character, if nothing else.

In a spectrum that goes from "slow, intelligent crime drama" to "action cop movie," it's somewhere in the middle. And that's fine. I was sort of in the mood for something a bit more fast-paced though.

Highlights included basically everything taking place in the hospital scenes (wonderfully shot, reserved scene of the surgeons at work, in particular), the car chase, and the very end of the film.

Oh, and McQueen is great of course. But I liked him most in "The Great Escape."

Paranormal Activity 3.
It was freaky.

I still think the second one is the best.
