I hate my given name (Joseph). But I don't know what I'd change it to.
For that matter, I hate my surname too simply because it can't be spelled off of pronunciation and it makes telling people my last name take so long. I believe the name is of either Scottish or English origin.
And my middle name is Daniel but I don't particularly care for middle names.

Just from looking at it I would have pronounced it "bare-in-jer." I only do so because it looks similar to Derringer, though.

That's how my family usually pronounces it but my grandmother occasionally pronounces it as beh-ring-er.
