audiobooks are fucking expensive. I have a $25 itunes gift card and there's no music I want, and there's no reason I would buy movies from iTunes, and I don't watch TV, so I was looking at audiobooks.

they're like $14! what the dick? who pays for this? that's like paying $20 for a CD on iTunes, and you don't even get the actual CD and shit. I can order books on half.com for under $4, usually.

so fuck that. I'll read myself a book. assholes.

I've actually never listened to an audio book, reading the book myself just seems more enjoyable.  But $14 is rather silly.

even though im a musician im a more visual learner. often times i have to reread what i read like right after i read it, and on the escuchamos portion of spanish tests i always need my teacher to play it twice because i miss some of the questions the first time around.

Not really. They have their place. They are kinda dumb if you can just read the book instead, but they're great if you're making a long car trip or if you're dyslexic.  Are you saying dyslexic people are faggots?

I don't like audiobooks very much because the narrator's voice just gives the book a certain feeling, for better or worse, much like if you watch a movie and then read the book and the characters are described differently than in the movie but you can't get the movie out of your head. also if I listen to them for more than like 10 minutes I just stop paying attention or think about something else or fall asleep.

Audiobooks are pretty lame if you ask me. If you can read a book, read it. But like Houdini said, not everyone can easily read a book normally, so the ridiculous little things do have their place.
