does getting your ear pierced hurt

some girl told me i should get a piercing

never really thought about it till recently but now i want one

are they um

painful :(

I've never gotten a piercing but I've been told by friends that it kinda feels like when you get a shot at the doctors, and there's that odd moment when you know that there's a needle in you, but it doesn't hurt, so you're just kinda sitting there like wtf for a little bit and then it's over.
