I'm looking into laptops, and I think I want a macbook, so that I could run both windows and mac on it.
But I want to make sure it can run fatty programs and games,

and will be reliable for all schoolwork.

So yea, help me pick one out before I go to the mac store tomorrow to look around.

macbooks are fine pieces of machinery. "fatty" programs and games won't be so hot with integrated graphics and 13" screen, though, so have fun with that.

I'd wait a month or so, because Apple is rumoured to either revamp the current MBs/MPBs, or introduce a new aluminum MB.

opinion I guess; personally I'd honestly rather just reform my lifestyle than have to use a 13" laptop as my main computer

15 is minimum for me but still painful, 24 is getting there

get your eyes checked

resolution is far more important than physical size

Okay, so yea. By fatty programs and games, I mean I want to be able to run Reason, and games like Warhammer and crysis, which is probably the reason I'm now trying to get a laptop, because I have a month of warhammer that I cant play until I upgrade.
Its requirements are 2.5 GHz processor and 1 gig ram and 128 mb video card and 15 gig of harddrive space.
so if it's possible to get that with a macbook cool, but if not let me know.

I have $1800 in my bank, I'm not trying to spend it all, but that's what I can work with.

Guff I'm kind of looking at you for this one.

have fun

9800 GX2's have trouble running crysis, let alone a puny laptop trying to run it

ohkay than forget that then. I just have a copy and it would be nice to play.

Sorry I'm a little lost with this business. I never got into PC gaming and so I never really needed to upgrade until now. So I don't really know what I'm looking for except that I would like to run windows and mac, so that I can run Reason and FL Studio.

But I'm wondering if I should get a Dell laptop because my computer is a mac so then I could just work in between computers when needed.
